ET is reporting that Zac Posen is the rumored designer of Bella’s bridal gown for Breaking Dawn.
The book describes the dress as an early 1900s design that “stepped out of an Austen movie”.

Zac Posen’s Mum Is No Longer His Business Partner

Susan Posen, Zac Posen’s mother stepped down from her role as acting CEO of her son’s company.
“It has been nearly 10 years since Zac, Alexandra and I founded Zac Posen….The company is now poised for a new phase of growth, and I have decided it is time to step aside from my current role as acting ceo and pursue other interests,” Susan wrote in an e-mail.

The red carpet was filled with some definite hits and some unfortunate misses. Zac Posen Fall 2010 Fashion Show

Zac Posen kicked off the celebrations at 9am, with a collection he called ‘40s futurism’.
Unusually for Posen, there were no floor-trailing red carpet gowns. The dresses were all extremely structured and leg-friendly; short, sharp and fitted, or flaring out from the hip, ra-ra style.
Silk brocade and stretch-satin, were seamed and shirred, into taut, body-con shapes, often with a “wing” of fabric at shoulder or hem.
