British actress Keira Knightley graces the cover of Elle UK for their March 2011 issue. Keira wearing pieces from Tom Ford’s much-coveted debut women’s collection.

Catwalk Queen reports that Keira Knightley will be the brand’s first official face for six years.

Ford says: “I absolutely love Keira. She is spectacular, very professional and I love her spirit. She’s beautiful in an English way; she has a little 1940s feel to her face – yet at the same time she always looks so young and modern.”

Tom Ford x H&M Collaboration

Tom Ford is rumoured to be the next designer collaborating with H&M. The French Tribune reported that the H&M collection will mirror Ford’s womenswear designs that appeared in the December-January issue of Vogue Paris he guest-edited.

H&M has famously teamed up with a host of the world’s most respected designers in the past, including Stella McCartney, Karl Lagerfeld and is currently selling a line by iconic French luxury label Lanvin.

First Look At Tom Ford’s Spring 2011 Collection

Vogue gives the first official photos of Tom Ford’s highly anticipated first women’s collection in six years. Tom Ford’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection was showed in New York this past September.

“I do not understand everyone’s need to see everything online the day after a show. I don’t think it ultimately serves the customer, which is the whole point of my business–not to serve journalists or the fashion system. To put something out that’s going to be in a store in six months, and to see it on a starlet, ranked in US magazine next week? My customer doesn’t want to wear the same thing she saw on a starlet!” Ford explains to Vogue.

The collection will be in his stores in late January or February 2011. The price will range from $3,500 to $5,000 for a suit, around $4,500 for a tuxedo, and a gown for about $20,000.

Tom Ford Working On A New Film

Designer Tom Ford is gearing up for another film, Moviefone reports. During an interview for Colin Firth’s new film “The King’s Speech,” the actor gives a hint on what Ford has next on his plate.

Colin Firth revealed “I do know that he has plans to make another movie….I consider him a very good friend, but he won’t give anything away to me about what the film is. I know, whatever it is, it’s gonna be very different from ‘A Single Man.’ I’m jealous of whoever’s going to be in it.”

Julia Restoin Roitfeld (daughter of French Vogue editor-in-chief, Carine) has been named the official new face of Lancôme’s upcoming spring makeup collection, Ultra Lavande. Mario Testino will shoot the campaign for the collection.

Julia Restoin Roitfeld has already posed for Black Orchid perfume by Tom Ford. She has also been the face of the fragrance Jil by Jil Sander.

And she’s also been acting as creative consultant for Mark Fast’s lower-priced line, Faster.

David Walliams and Lara Stone are married

A celebrity guestlist including Geri Halliwell, Sir Elton John, Tom Ford, Noel Gallagher and Russell Brand were among those to attend the wedding ceremony and the reception at Shoreditch House.

David’s comedy partner Matt Lucas provided the biggest laugh of the day when he came to the reception dressed as his ‘Little Britain’ alter-ego, fat-fighter Marjorie Dawes.

Guest Ronnie Corbett said: “The funniest moment was when Matt came in. He’d taken all the trouble to bring a wig and costume and brought in the cake dressed up as his ‘Little Britain’ character. It brought a huge cheer.

“The whole atmosphere was of loveliness and glamour from a day gone by. I’ve never seen so many white roses, there were hundreds and I’ve never been to a more beautiful service in my whole life, it was perfect from beginning to end.”

Guests at the event witnessed David and Lara – who at 26 is 12 years younger than her new husband – sign the register to John Barry’s instrumental version of ‘We Have All the Time in the World’ before heading to the reception where they dined on lobster salad and seared sea bass prepared by chef Martyn Nail.

Lara’s father Michael Stone admitted he was “very proud” of his daughter – who wore a dress by Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci – and revealed the newlyweds are “over the moon”.

He said: “Lara looked beautiful and it was a wonderful day. I’m very proud. There were so many lovely moments and I can tell you that both Lara and David are over the moon.”

Time 100: Marc Jacobs Only Designer To Make List

Fashion media outlets like WWD were all aflutter this morning when the news broke that game changing designer Marc Jacobs will be the only fashion designer to appear in this year’s Time 100 list. But don’ worry—the annual issue, which hits newsstands tomorrow, will be chock full of fashion personalities anyway. Good friend Victoria Beckham had the honor and privilege to interview Jacobs for the feature, which she seemed all to happy to conduct. “He inspires and educates me every time we meet,” Beckham writes. “He changes how we see fashion with each collection he shows, be it his work for Louis Vuitton or his own baby, the Marc Jacobs line, which he started in 1986.”

Tom Ford, the fashion world’s true Renaissance man, did not make the list but proved he was a good sport by profiling another one who made it, model Liya Kedebe. “I first met Liya Kebede about 10 years ago in Paris,” Ford writes. “I was casting models for a show, and Liya came in. She looked me in the eyes, and I was quite literally stunned.” Donna Karan interviewed architect and fellow female power player Zaha Hadid. “Zaha’s work evokes that passion,” says Karan. “Her buildings are like a gust of wind — organic, forceful and utterly natural. Her oeuvre is diverse: she has done structures from the Vitra Fire Station in Weil am Rhein, Germany, to the Terminus Hoenheim-Nord in Strasbourg, France, to the Rosenthal Center for Contemporary Art in Cincinnati, Ohio.”

And in an initially unexpected pairing, luxury leading lady Donatella Versace explained how much she admired list-maker and action movie star Jet Li . “The first time my friend Jet Li and I talked about his One Foundation, which he began to assist with disaster-relief efforts in China and beyond,” Versace writes, “he was so passionate that I felt the only thing for me to do was to help.” The two subsequently linked up to raise funds for victims of the Sichuan earthquake in 2008.

The Time 100 Gala will be held May 4 at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York and with all the list’s fashion friends flitting about, its sure to be a fabulous affair!
