Alexander McQueen to launch men’s underwear

One of Alexander McQueen’s last design projects, a men’s underwear collection, is set to launch in June, the brand revealed today. The designer had been working on a collection of boxer shorts and briefs bearing his signature skull prints as well as all over feather prints inspired by his final menswear offering.
The collection will include basic underwear, sleepwear, loungewear, a seasonal fashion range and — for summer 2011 — swimwear, WWD reports. The range will be distributed by Albisetti SpA which also produces underwear and swimwear for John Galliano, Roberto Cavalli and Jil Sander.
Roberto Cavalli Finds Inspiration in Facebook and Twitter

The Italian designer has started Twitter and Facebook pages to communicate with his fans, as he feels he has much to learn from them. Cavalli told Vogue.com, “I love to learn from young people. I love to look at the way in which they mix clothes and accessories, the way in which they are influenced by music and I try to create things that they might like…and what better way to be directly in contact with them than through these amazing tools which are becoming a social phenomenon?”

Roberto Cavalli has reportedly offered Cheryl Cole £1.3 million to front his new Autumn/Winter collection.
The ‘Parachute’ singer could make up to £5 million if she signs lucrative deals with the fashion house and other brands who are said to keen to get the star to appear for them.
While Cavalli has reportedly offered the star £1.3 million to front his new collection, two other major labels – one rumoured to be a high street chain – are also keen to line up Cheryl to front their brands, which could be worth another £2 million.
Milan fashion show to launch with tightened schedule

After New York and London, Milan picks up the thread of the international fashion circuit Wednesday with a tighter schedule for the main shows to meet the needs of buyers and journalists.
Several thousand buyers from around 40 countries are expected in Milan as well as 2,000 journalists. Many of them will then move on to the Paris shows, which stretches over nine days, from March 2 to 10.
