Marc Jacobs Sues Christian Audigier

Marc Jacobs is suing Christian Audigier for trade-dress and trademark infringement over a handbag that’s suspiciously similar to one he designed. Jacobs’s trademark of the scrambled Marc Jacobs logo is pending, but the label says the bag’s “size, shape, color or color combinations, product design, texture, and selection and arrangement of materials and accessories” make up its trade dress, or identify the bag to consumers as a Marc Jacobs item.
Lorenzo Martone Reportedly Working on Swimwear Collection

Not too long ago, Marc Jacobs and his Brazilian boyfriend Lorenzo Martone spent what seemed like weeks posing for each other in itty-bitty swim shorts on the beaches of St. Barts.
Now it seems that Martone may have just been doing field work on an upcoming project: a swimwear line with designer Jules Kim. NYMag reports that Martone’s role in the project is unclear; it seems likely he’ll be handling the marketing of the project, given that he just launched a boutique PR company.
