Catherine Malandrino Has Created a New Logo for Lacoste

French designer Catherine Malandrino will design a capsule collection for Lacoste inspired “by the brand’s sport heritage,” according to WWD. She has signed on to this project for 4 seasons and you’ll be able to find the pieces in her store and of course the 67 Lacoste stores in April.

Lacoste launching a jewellery line

Lacoste will introduce its first fashion jewelry line. The collection will launch at Lacoste’s spring show during New York Fashion Week in September. The collection will go on sale in February, 2011.
“The Lacoste fashion jewelry is part of the strategy developed with our partners to propose a more complete feminine offer to our clients,” CEO Christophe Chenut says in the release.

Alexa Chung Named New Face Of Lacoste Fragrance

Alexa Chung has been signed as the face of the new Lacoste women’s fragrance. Chung will be the first woman spokesmodel for a Lacoste fragrance, which will debut in January of next year, reports WWD.com.
The 26-year-old beauty is in huge demand in the fashion world at the moment and currently fronts Pepe Jean’s spring/summer campaign and is having a Mulberry bag named after her.

Jean Paul Gaultier leaving Hermes

While Giles Deacon recently stepped up to the challenge of becoming creative director at Emanuel Ungaro, Jean Paul Gaultier has decided to resign from his role at Hermes. He has been at the luxury French fashion house for seven years.
But it’s not all bad news, as Gaultier, who was born in France, is going to focus on his own collections so all the fashion stylists out there will still have plenty of gorgeous dresses to look forward to.
