Fashion designer picks South Park as inspiration

French fashion designer Jean Charles de Castelbajac (also known as JC/DC) will use “South Park” characters as the music icons of his new high-end collection, Holly Boys and Naughty Girls.
The collaboration between Jean Charles de Castelbajac and Nickelodeon Consumer Products International is for a summer/autumn 2010 men’s and women’s wear capsule collection that will include T-shirts, tops, sweatshirts and leggings. It will take “South Park’s” satirical themes to retailers around the world through high-end outlets in markets such as France, Italy, Germany, Russia, the U.K. and U.S. It will also be available at de Castelbajac’s dedicated boutiques in London, Paris and Ukraine with items priced beginning at €45 ($60).

The eccentric singer teamed up with designers Viktor and Rolf for ‘Telephone’ – her duet with Beyonce Knowles – as she wanted them to create her a bespoke costume, which was inspired by spending time behind bars.
