Albino Model Stars In Givenchy New Spring-Summer 2011 Ad Campaign

Givenchy’s creative director Riccardo Tisci used a transsexual model for Givenchy’s ad campaign last season and caused a controversy by doing that.
And now Riccardo Tisci has chosen albino model Stephen Thompson to star in Givenchy Spring/Summer 2011 campaign. Shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Stephen appears in the upcoming Givenchy ads alongside Daphne Groeneveld, Iris Strubegger and Mariacarla Boscono.

Givenchy Fall 2010 Haute Couture

The Givenchy Haute Couture Fall 2010 collection was presented in an intimate gathering and consisted of ten different looks. Riccardo Tisci, Creative Director for Givenchy has created beautiful inspirational garments. He claimed his inspiration was Frida Kahlo and her three obsessions: religion, sensuality, and, given the painter’s lifelong battle with spinal pain, the human anatomy, which is obvious with bone-like zippers and actual skulls appearing throughout.

A celebrity guestlist including Geri Halliwell, Sir Elton John, Tom Ford, Noel Gallagher and Russell Brand were among those to attend the wedding ceremony and the reception at Shoreditch House.
David’s comedy partner Matt Lucas provided the biggest laugh of the day when he came to the reception dressed as his ‘Little Britain’ alter-ego, fat-fighter Marjorie Dawes.

Alexander McQueen: first book since designer’s death to go on sale

The first of what will undoubtedly be many books on the late British fashion revolutionary, Alexander McQueen, will go on sale on May 7th.
Entitled “Alexander McQueen, Genius of a Generation”, the 128-page volume traces McQueen‚Äôs remarkable life story, from a child, drawing on the walls of his parent‚Äôs council flat, in London‚Äôs East End, to his final, fabulous – but unfinished – fall/winter 2010/11 collection, shown posthumously, in a series of private presentations, in Paris.
