Diane von Furstenberg To Design Hotel Rooms

While some designers won’t rest until there’s a hotel with their name splayed on the front, Diane von Furstenberg is happy to remodel a few rooms in one of the most prestigious hotels in the world.
Starting in June 2010, guests at Claridge’s in London–a favorite of Kate Moss, Justin Timberlake and the late Alexander McQueen–will be able to stay in a series of rooms and suites designed by the reigning queen of the New York fashion scene.
Diane von Furstenberg releases album for charity

Diane von Furstenberg is releasing a compilation album called “Proud to be Woman” to benefit Vital Voices, an organization committed to empowering female leaders around the globe.
Mary J. Bllige, Santigold, Bebel Gilberto, Christina Aguilera, Joss Stone, and Estelle are among the female artists appearing on the album to be released on International Women’s Day (March 8 ) and available at Diane von Furstenberg boutiques, DVF.com, and iTunes.
De Beers Love Ball Hosted By Natalia Vodianova & Lucy Yeomans

Following the success of last year’s inaugural Love Ball in Moscow, Natalia Vodianova joined forces with Lucy Yeomans, Editor-in-Chief of Harper’s Bazaar UK, to host The Love Ball London.
Guests including Joely Richardson, Leona Lewis, Stella McCartney, Amber LeBon, Diane Von Furstenberg, Paloma Faith, Rosie Huntington Whiteley & David Gandy turned out to support the event sponsored by De Beers in aid of the Naked Heart Foundation.

“I always wanted to live a man’s life in a woman’s body.” That mantra–her inspiration for her fall collection–said it all. The blazer is the DVF girl’s new uniform; power trips came strutting down the runway in many forms, all comfortably encased in felted wool dresses and crepe blouses.
Furthering the menswear-inspired trend, pinstripes prevailed on everything from jackets and skirts to slightly oversized blazers, which featured plenty of tweet and felted wool. Femme fatale came in the form of cable-knit sweaters woven with link chains, jersey tees paired with suede biker jeans and jacquard tiered skirts. Not one to give up her femininity, however, there was also exploration of nature.
Diane Von Furstenberg Creates DVF Awards for Inspirational Women

Since launching into fashion in the early Seventies, Diane von Furstenberg has been seeking to promote the empowerment of women.
Von Furstenberg is now taking her mission a step further with the DVF Awards, an annual ceremony, which aims to recognize women whose leadership skills and vision have had a positive impact on the lives of other women around the world.
The awards were created with the support of The Diller-Von Furstenberg Family Foundation — and von Furstenberg credited her family for inspiring her to establish them.
