Coco Rocha has been named the face of Esprit Collection

Esprit has announced that Canadian supermodel Coco Rocha is the new face of their Esprit Collection brand for Fall 2010.
The Toronto-born Rocha, who was raised in Richmond, B.C., joins fellow international catwalkers Anne Vyalitsyna and Missy Rayder, who will be the faces of Esprit Casual.

Coco Rocha ENGAGED To James Conran

Coco Rocha is officially off the market. FashionWeekDaily.com reports that on Sunday night Coco Rocha announced her engagement the way any modern gal would: by switching her Facebook relationship status to “Engaged.”
So who’s the lucky man? British-born interior designer James Conran, who decorated Rocha’s apartment.

Don’t expect fashion industry to change pin-thin standards any time soon

he latest outrage over rail-thin runway models isn’t likely to spark any sudden changes in the $100 million fashion industry.
“Let’s be realistic,” says Steven Kolb, executive director of the Council of Fashion Designers of America.
“Fashion shows are fantasy … and to be a model you have to be thin to begin with.
“There are healthy models that genetically have thin body structures. So [thin models] will always be on the runway.”
Coco Rocha, Size 4: Too Fat for the Runway?

Model Coco Rocha seems to have it all: one of the best-known faces in the biz, a series of television reporting gigs and her own clothing line, Rococo. But some industry insiders think that Rocha, size 4, is too big–literally–for the runway. Rocha told the New York Times, “I’m not in demand for the shows anymore.”
But instead of starving herself or smoking a pack a day to stave off weight gain, Rocha remarked, “If I want a hamburger, I’m going to have one. No 21-year-old should be worrying about whether she fits a sample size.”
