Alexander McQueen Inspires Two Nail Polishes

Alexander McQueen committed suicide earlier this year. Butter London has added two shades to their Fall polish collection inspired by the late designer.
Long Live McQueen is a lovely sparkly gold. Bumster is yellow toned and pays homage to McQueen’s 1996 collection of extremely low rise-bottom baring trousers.
Alexander McQueen Cruise 2011 Collection by Sarah Burton

New Creative Director Sarah Burton has unveiled her first collection for Alexander McQueen Womenswear by showcasing the label’s Resort 2011 collection.
The collection was inspired by Hans Bellmer’s dolls and samurai warriors, Burton said she wanted to “juxtapose the pale and the delicate with the bold and armorial. It’s about a highly structured torso that gives way to a more fluid silhouette or drop waists that lead to a finned trouser or skirt.”

McQ’s New Creative Director

Luxury label Alexander McQueen promoted Sarah Burton to the roll of creative director last month to replace Lee Alexander McQueen following his death in February. Ferlisi will work under the direction of Burton on McQ.
Ferlisi has previously been creative director at Generra and has designed for Coach, Gap, and Marc by Marc Jacobs.
Alexander McQueen Eyewear Spring 2010 Ad

Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2010 Ad Campaign features eyewear, skulls and roses without any living model.
The ads incorporate the Plato’s Atlantis reptilian print from McQueens Spring 2010 fashion show – the last show that McQueen would see through – as well as roses and skulls wearing the eyewear.
