MODEL Miranda Kerr is among five Australian beauties to make an annual list of the world’s most desirable women. Kerr has finished 10th on the annual Askmen.com 99 Most Desirable Women list.
It was topped by Canadian actress Emmanuelle Chriqui, from the TV hit Entourage. The poll, which this year attracted more than six million votes, asks men to rate women based on their qualities as an ideal wife or girlfriend. Kerr, a Victoria’s Secret model and the face of David Jones, had a huge jump to number 10 from the 46th spot last year. She said she was delighted with the result.
Cindy Crawford blackmail suspect charged in Germany
Feb 5th
A GERMAN man accused of trying to blackmail Cindy Crawford over a photograph showing the supermodel’s daughter gagged and bound has been indicted, prosecutors said.
Edis Kayalar, 26, was charged with one count of extortion and two counts of attempted extortion for allegedly demanding Crawford pay him more than US$100,000 ($112,000), the prosecutor’s office in Stuttgart, southern Germany said.
“In the photo, the seven-year-old daughter is seen sitting gagged with her hands and feet bound to a chair,” it said in a statement.
The daughter, Kaia, told her parents, who were unaware of the image, that her nanny had taken the photograph at the family home in the United States as part of a “cops and robbers” game.
Kayalar, a friend of the nanny, took possession of the photo and warned Crawford, 43, and her husband, 48-year-old businessman Rande Gerber, that he would sell the picture to tabloid newspapers unless they paid him, according to the charge sheet.

It is the first time Calvin Klein has used four famous faces at once
The campaign was photographed by Mikael Jansson. The four hunks in trunks continue Calvin Klein’s muscular reputation for mixing pecs and sex appeal. Style spotlight: Carey Mulligan
Feb 5th
The young British star has been nominated in the Best Actress category at the Academy Awards for her role in ‘An Education’. With her kooky style, it won’t be long before she makes best-dressed lists, too.
She may have been nominated for Best Actress at this year’s Oscars ceremony for her breakthrough role in An Education, but off-screen, Carey Mulligan has also been garnering rave reviews for her gorgeous, quirky looks and inspired red-carpet choices.
The 24-year-old British actress can do floor-hitting, traffic-stopping gowns – in vampish red Lanvin at the SAG Awards, and strapless midnight-blue Nina Ricci at the Globes, for instance – like the best of them, but excels when she plays up her image of the ingĂ©nue. Coquettish LBDs and sweet, long-sleeved dresses with a Sixties’ vibe pay homage to Audrey Hepburn, an actress to whom Mulligan has often been compared. Nor does she shy away from prints or embellishment, either, stepping out in a bold pink, red and turquoise graphic florals minidress, and a silver “fractured mirror” frock by Prada.
