Naomi Campbell’s London Haiti Relief Show Includes Tears For McQueen

A slew of British celebs and supermodel royalty turned out for Naomi Campbell’s Fashion For Relief Haiti show on the first day of British Fashion Week. Campbell also included a tribute to late designer Alexander McQueen.
The show was followed by an auction on the pieces presented, during which Kate Moss broke down in tears at the bidding for the McQueen dress she had modeled. This show came nearly a week after Campbell held an American-style version at New York Fashion Week. All proceeds will go to helping mothers and babies in Haiti.
Helena Christensen steals the show… with the help of some push-up underwear

As a former Victoria’s Secret Angel supermodel Helena Christensen is an expert in lingerie. And it shows.
At the after-party for Calvin Klein on Thursday the 41-year-old stole the show in a low-cut strapless dress.
And it was all thanks to her judicious use of a push-up bra.
The underwear turned the beige basque dress into an eye-catching outfit, which Helena emphasised with a gold necklace.
London Fashion Week opens

Harold Tillman, the chairman of the British Fashion Council, called for a minute’s silence in memory of the late Lee Alexander McQueen, at the opening of London Fashion Week, at Somerset House.
Mr Tillman said: ”His impact was extraordinary and he will be sorely missed.”
London Fashion Week has also put up a memorial wall for fashion press and buyers to leave messages for the much-loved designer.
Alexander McQueen: his last collection will be shown at Paris Fashion Week as the label is set to continue

The chairman and chief executive officer of the parent company, PPR SA, Francois-Henri Pinault, confirmed the brand will continue, according to AP, at a press conference and conference call in Paris today to announce the group’s 2009 full-year results.
Pinault paid homage to McQueen, who was found hanged at his Mayfair house, in London, last Thursday, calling the designer a “pure genius” and “a poet”.
Chanel Introduces a Line of Temporary Tattoos

In honor of the newly redesigned Chanel.com, the French design house is introducing Les Trompe l’Oeil Temporary Skin Art. The graphic adornments, created by Global Creative Director Peter Philips, were first seen in the Chanel Spring-Summer 2010 runway presentation.
“For the show, I wanted to play with the Chanel symbols: pearls, chains and wheat, as well as blossoms and small swallows that announce the arrival of spring,” Philips says.
