Summer trend: Prada transparent plastic bags

For Spring 2010, following in the footsteps of Fendi and Chanel, Prada has designed a set of transparent plastic bags.
The ‘Plex + Spazzolato’ and ‘Mistolino’ are made of very ordinary looking vinyl and plastic, but to counter-act the obvious limitations of the material, Prada has made strides to elevate them beyond their basic forms.
They’ve adorned the doctor-shaped carrier with semi-precious stones and plastic crystals, which adds a little sparkle to this regular household material.

Apple has a good history of designer collaborations, most notably its beautiful range of accessories made by Mulberry. But it was about time someone took it upon themself to design a smart cover for the new iPad, and that someone was none other than Louis Vuitton.
Louis Vuitton’s iPhone cover has been a huge success worldwide, so it’s no surprise that the brand has followed it up with this chequered sleeve, featuring the classic LV monogram design. It will also be available in Damier Graphite and ‘exotic leather’ at the brand’s New Bond Street store. At present, it’s pretty unusual to have an iPad,. let alone a designer sleeve, so this should fast become the coolest geek-chic accessory around.
