Miu Miu Launches Sparkling Sneakers

Miu Miu is launching a new sneaker collection. The sneakers made with patent leather, arabesque lamé and velvet.

The color palette will feature pale pink, silver, gold and black — are embellished with sequins, metallic studs and appliquéd crystals.

The Miu Miu Sneakers available in all boutiques and online in late August with prices range from $450 to $585.

The Nine-Inch Sky Heel To Hit Stores Next Year

British shoe retailer Parmars will start selling the Sky Heel, a 9-inch high-heel.

The ‘Sky Heel,’ available in sparkly red or gold, will cost under $100 a pair and will hit stores next year. They will be sold by the trendy shoe retailer Parmars in their London boutiques and on their website, reports the Sun.

A spokesman says they’re inspired “by the catwalk for the sidewalk,” though walking down either in these shoes isn’t recommended. He added, ‘We’ve seen the five-inch and six-inch, and we’ve even seen the seven-inch heel. The trend is bigger, bigger, bigger – and the Sky Heel is the biggest of them all.’

For Spring 2010, following in the footsteps of Fendi and Chanel, Prada has designed a set of transparent plastic bags.

The ‘Plex + Spazzolato’ and ‘Mistolino’ are made of very ordinary looking vinyl and plastic, but to counter-act the obvious limitations of the material, Prada has made strides to elevate them beyond their basic forms.

They’ve adorned the doctor-shaped carrier with semi-precious stones and plastic crystals, which adds a little sparkle to this regular household material.

On the surface they’re perhaps better suited for trips to places like the beach rather than anything too sophisticated, but that’s one beach bag in particular that will turn heads.
