Nicola Formichetti Is Launching Tech-Inspired Line

According to a WWD, Nicola Formichetti, creative director of Mugler and Lady Gaga’s stylist, is working on a new label, titled “Formichetti”. The Formichetti collection will feature clothing and accessories that incorporate solar power.
“It’ll be very digitally oriented and high-tech,” Formichetti said of his line. “We’ve been working with the same fabrics, the same techniques for hundreds of years. That’s all great, but we need something new.”
Formichetti will launch his own New York-based accessories and apparel brand in mid-2013.
