Raf Simons To Replace John Galliano At Dior
Christian Dior has named Belgian designer Raf Simons, who has been the creative director of Jil Sander since 2005, as its new artistic director. Simons will replace the John Galliano who was dismissed from Dior in March 2011.
“It is with tremendous excitement that the House of Dior is welcoming Raf Simons, one of today’s greatest talents,” a written statement from the company said. “Raf Simons’ journey with the house of Dior will propel its iconic style into the 21st Century.”
In a statement Simons said he would present his first Haute Couture collection for Dior in July 2012.
