Hedi Slimane Is New Creative Director Of Yves Saint Laurent

WWD is reporting that designer Hedi Slimane will return to Yves Saint Laurent as creative director, replacing the outgoing Stefano Pilati. Slimane returns to the fashion house where he was artistic director of menswear until 2000.
“Hedi Slimane’s exceptional talent and understanding of the spirit of Yves Saint Laurent heralds a promising new chapter in the story of the maison,” said YSL CEO Paul Deneve.
WWD reports that Slimane’s first collection is expected to be shown in June, for the resort season.
