Thom Browne launches womenswear
Thom Browne, the designer known best for stirring up the idea of what it means to dress like a man with his famously short suits jackets and cropped pants, is branching out into women’s wear.
It’s not his first dive into womenswear though; In 2007 and 2008, Thom designed little capsule collections for Barneys, and has been tailoring his men’s suits to fit the small clientele of women who he welcomed into his New York show.
He told WWD: “This time I have more time to focus on it. For September, it will be a bit bigger than before, with more styles within the categories, but very focused. In the next couple seasons it will become a fully developed collection.”
The collection will sell at Barneys New York, Colette and 10 Corso Como Seoul and The Thom Browne shop.
