Jospeh Ettedgui, designer who made the high street sexy, dies at 74

Described by Christian Lacroix as “perhaps the only one to have made natural and successful alchemy between hard-nosed business and avant garde art”, the fashion designer Joseph Ettedgui has died in hospital in London aged 74.
Ettedgui founded the Joseph label in 1972 and went on to open more than 20 shops in the UK and abroad.

Last week, the New York modeling agency scene experienced a great shakeup when Women and Supreme founder Paul Rowland and Ford women’s division head Caroline Poznanski essentially switched places. The fallout is expected to take weeks to settle, but in the meantime, some models have already started switching agencies to stay with their original management — Tao Okamoto and Hanne Gaby Odiele among those reported yesterday, and today, word comes of more movement: Lakshmi Menon has followed her agent Poznanski to Supreme, while Ranya Mordanova, Daiane Conterato, Karolin Wolter are all said to have moved from Supreme to Ford.

Anna Sui is known for her vivid and cheerful designs – so much so that they and she were the subject of a question in the recent college admissions exams, known as SATs (scholastic aptitude test), in America.
Among the analogies and vocabulary questions, students were greeted with the question: “Because her clothes are both inventive and lucrative, Anna Sui is truly a _ designer.”
Karl Lagerfeld: I pay for sex with top escorts

The gay designer told Vice magazine he doesn’t like sleeping with people he loves.
‘I admire porn…and I personally only like high-class escorts,’ he confessed.
‘I don’t like sleeping with people I really love. I don’t want to sleep with them because sex cannot last but affection can last for ever. I think this is healthy,’ he added.
The German, 76, boasts that he and his rich mates can afford expensive sex unlike the average pleb.
Porsche Design The Essence Summer Ice

Porsche Design has added to its fragrance portfolio (created in partnership with Clarins Group-owned Parfums Azzaro), with a new limited-edition called The Essence Summer Ice. It is rolling out this month in Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
The juice, described as a new orchestration built around the tonic and intense freshness of the first Porsche Design fragrance, features fresh and invigorating notes.
