Finn Jewelry For Sophie ThealletTo say that Sophie Théallet has had a good 2009 would be an understatement. The French designer, who won the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund in November, has continued her upward ascent as her frocks are recent faves of Michelle Obama, and her latest collection garnered even more rave reviews.

So, it came as no surprise when the Gallic modiste teamed up with Finn Jewelry’s Soraya Silchenstedt and Candice Pool  to create their first collaboration, which debuted during NYFW at Théallet’s fall ’10 runway show.

Sophie told that her inspiration was “folklore and old children’s stories that little girls grow up with all around the world—the classic story of the peasant girl that becomes a princess,” she said. “I wanted to do little charms that were refined, magical, and discreet.”

The result is exactly that. Gold charm necklaces with cowbells (which actually ring with a rose-cut diamond inside) and daggers (Sophie says they’re for “protection”), medallion bracelets with Alhambra shapes,  a fairytale charm necklace with a fixed pavé diamond star and moon charm with a carved garnet heart.
