Madonna, Macy’s sign deal for ‘Material Girl’ collectionMacy’s Inc. has teamed with MG ICON, a joint venture between singer Madonna and Iconix Brand Group, on a collection of apparel and accessories for juniors.

The “Material Girl” collection will include back-to-school clothing, footwear, handbags and jewelry, according to a news release. It will eventually include fragrances and other products.

The collection, designed by Madonna, her daughter Lourdes, and Iconix designers, will be launched in August at 200 Macy’s stores and online at www.macys.com. Items will range from $12 to $40, and the lines will eventually roll out to all Macy’s stores.

“We believe that ‘Material Girl’ will be a dynamic exclusive brand for Macy’s, and we look forward to working with Madonna, Lourdes and the Iconix team,” said Jeff Gennette, chief merchandising officer, in the release.
