Sarah Jessica Parker Wears a Victoria Beckham Dress to the White House
Although it’s bitter cold in Washington, D.C, Spring was in the air — sartorially, at least — at the White House, as President Obama honored icons in the arts at the awards ceremony for the 2009 National Medal of Arts and National Humanities Medal.
While Michelle Obama opted for a bright violet sleeveless shift covered in black polka dots, actress Sarah Jessica Parker was clad in a coral-hued dress by Victoria Beckham to celebrate award winners Bob Dylan, Clint Eastwood, painter Frank Stella and author Elie Wiesel, among others.
Perhaps the double crepe slightly flared frock with molded shoulders, from Beckham’s Spring/Summer 2010 dress collection, was chosen after the two famous mothers bonded on the set of “Sex and the City 2,” in which Beckham is rumored to cameo after not being able to make an appearance in the first film, due to Spice Girl scheduling conflicts.
